Colorado Crafted Woodworks is a small woodworking shop based in Aurora, Colorado. What started as a hobby nearly a decade ago has grown into a creative outlet focused on building functional pieces that highlight the natural character of the wood.
Woodworking has always been a creative outlet for me, and it’s something that runs in the family. My mom works in pottery, and my dad has spent years building with both wood and steel. He still helps fabricate custom steel bases for some of my table projects.
Most pieces begin with the wood itself. The grain, shape, and character of each board often guide the final design rather than forcing the material into a predetermined idea. That approach allows each piece to develop naturally and ensures that no two builds are exactly the same.
Over the years I’ve built a range of pieces including end tables, cutting boards, charcuterie boards, clocks, and other small projects — all out of a small basement workshop in Aurora.
As a husband and father of two boys, this is work that happens in the margins of daily life — early mornings, late nights, and whenever time allows.
